With the New Year upon us it is a spark for many to create new habits. In establishing new habits it is important to have a strong foundation and a certain level of acceptance with change which allows us to grow and evolve. For parenting there are many intentions people may set in the coming year, here are a few ideas to help:
1. One of the important parts of being successful is providing the environment to thrive with often starts with taking care of our own self so our cup is full, and we have more to give.
2. Start small with your expectations so you see your success and build from there.
3. Get clear on your motivation behind your intention. If you want to yell less at your children, look at what that would change or create in the relationship with your child if you were able to do this.
4. Be kind to yourself, self-compassion is key to success. You will get there, believing in yourself with love in support helps you achieve this!
